Alexandra and Marc’s wedding can only be described in 3 words…over.the.top.
This was one of the most extravagant weddings I have ever photographed..they definitely went all out for this lavish event!
Alexandra (Alex) looked like a true princess in her Maggie Sottera gown and gorgeous Jimmy Choo shoes! The bridesmaids wore stunning mint colored Monique Lhuillier dresses and had the most gorgeous peach, orange, and green floral bouquets of peonies, succulents, and lamb’s ear. Marc and the guys looked every bit of GQ in their grey Calvin Klein tuxes and peach ties!
The wedding and reception both took place at the prestigious Mallard Island Yacht Club, a “Weddings of Distinction” property..and you can see why! The 3,000 sq ft bridal penthouse takes up the entire 4th floor and is equipped with a private hair/makeup salon! The bed is evaluated on a tile platform with 20 foot ceilings! The bridal suite overlooks the masculine, nautical theme groom’s shack from the balcony.
The wedding day was sunny and gorgeous, but quite windy on the water so Alex and Marc had their first look inside the boathouse chapel! Marc teared up when he saw his bride for the first time..words cannot describe how stunning Alex looked! It was like a perfect fairytale!
We strolled through the gorgeous grounds, which were picture perfect! Marc and Alexandra had a great group of friends and they were all giggling and laughing through the pictures.
The ceremony was simply breathtaking, as the couple couldn’t take their eyes off each other during their vows..it was very sweet! After the vows and rings were exchanged we headed into the cocktail hour and then into the extravagant ballroom, which was floor to ceilings windows surrounded by an open balcony overlooking the water! The coolest part is that you can overlook the dance floor from one of the guest rooms above! So we were able to get some aerial shots of the couple’s first dance, and Alex and Marc even tossed the bouquet and garter from that room, which was awesome!!!! Nick Cavaleri from Unforgettable DJ’s had the dance floor rocking all night!
The evening ended with an ice cream truck outside for the guest as they departed, a surprise to Marc from Alex because he truly loves ice cream, and she truly loves him!
After the wedding, Alexandra and Marc honeymooned in Bora Bora!
