I met Jennifer and Kevin through the owner of another wedding venue who had recommended me to them. We talked on the phone and I quickly realized that I loved this city couple! When I asked Jennifer about the proposal she said, “We were on a training bike ride for a triathlon when he popped the question. We were riding up the west side highway on a beautiful clear blue day in June.  Kevin pulled over to a park overlooking the water and got on one knee right there.  We rode back to the city and I was surprised to see all of our family and friends had decorated our apartment, awaiting for us to arrive. We then went to an outdoor bar to celebrate with friends.  It was Kevin’s 31st birthday so we already had drinks planned!”
We shot their engagement session last April at Fort Tryon Park in Manhattan, and we had a blast together. I was super excited for their wedding to come!
With hurricane Hermine approaching, I was getting a little nervous..but Jenn held it together all along and they ended up with a gorgeous 75 degree day! Jennifer looked stunning, as always, in her Vera Wang gown and Valentino heels! Their ceremony was held at the gorgeous St Teresa of Avila Church in Summit, NJ. This church is just beautiful..wait until you see the pictures we took after the ceremony on the steps! Kevin looked so handsome and was smiling ear to ear when Jenn waked down the aisle.. you could feel how much these two really love each other!
Their wedding reception was at Canoe Brook Country Club. I had never been there! It was really pretty and we had some amazing light during their portrait session on the golf course, which made me very happy LOL. I have to say, they had a huge bridal party (25 people!) but this group was so great and they just went with the flow of everything going on. I didn’t realize how crazy they were until they started dancing at the reception! Jennifer’s parents were super sweet to us all day long! Her dad even took time to talk with me TWICE throughout the day..once in the morning and then he came over and sat down with us at dinner to chat. What a great family!
Congratulations Jenn and Kevin, you guys rock!
The newlyweds are leaving to honeymoon in  Thailand & Cambodia in December!
