Jim and Kristen met at her alma mater’s, West Chester University, 2008 Homecoming. They were introduced by mutual friends and started to see each other at first by hanging out on the weekends..but their relationship became official when she began Graduate School in Georgia in 2009.
5 years later, they got engaged at the beach in Big Sur on a vacation in California with her twin sister and brother-in-law. Once they returned to Philadelphia, the wedding planning commenced. At first, they were not sure where to get married since she is from New Jersey and Jim is from Pennsylvania but finally, with the help of their families, they decided on New Jersey. The next decisions came easily. The couple knew they wanted to have my wedding reception at Clarks Landing ever since experiencing Kristen’s sister’s wedding that was there in 2013. Jim did not need much negotiating to decide on Clark’s, its such a gorgeous venue on the water!
The color theme was navy blue and gold with hints of blush details, which included Kristen’s Badgley Mischka shoes and matching purse! The bridal bouquet was filled with white peonies that had a touch of pink in them, which looked beautiful against her Reem Acra wedding gown! The bridesmaid bouquets were pink calla lilies tied with nautical blue and white striped ribbon, and were picture perfect against the navy blue Alfred Sung dresses!
Kristen and Jim had a traditional catholic ceremony at Saint Dominic Church in Brick, NJ. Kristen was breathtaking as her daddy walked her down the aisle and Jim smiled through the entire ceremony! Since this was a May wedding, the cherry blossoms outside the church were in full bloom, so we definitely took advantage of them! Within minutes of photographing this couple one on one, I knew they were completely in love..they were smiling ear to ear, whispering to each other and giggling..so cute!
We headed over to the docks at Clark’s Landing and had some fun with the bridal party, followed by some more time with the couple alone by the water and in the front garden area where there were rows and rows of gorgeous tulips planted.
Once the reception began, the sun started to set during their first dance (Let it Be Me-Ray LaMontagne), so immediately following we ran out to the dock again and captured an amazing sunset. The rest of the evening consisted of TONS of dancing and laughter..what an amazing wedding!
Kristen and Jim went to  Jamaica on their honeymoon!
