Carli and Stephen’s gorgeous Mallard Island Yacht Club was a blast to photograph this Spring! These two are some of the most fun people I’ve EVER worked with. Carli is a firecracker and we were instant BFFs the second that we met. Stephen is equally as fun and is so great about just going with the flow. I loved watching their wedding day visions come to life right before my eyes! They dreamed of an elegant waterfront wedding filled with dusty rose, navy, and white details. Personally, I think they nailed it!

Spring Mallard Island Yacht Club Wedding

Their entire day was hosted at Mallard Island Yacht Club, a gorgeous venue here in New Jersey. Carli got ready with her ladies and family in the suite at Mallard Island Yacht Club. She was so chill, it was really great to see a bride so laid back! I absolutely loved her pearl earrings and shoes, so I included some of my own pearls I brought in her flatlays. They always make detail shots look so elegant!

When she was ready, Carli met Stephen for their first look. He was absolutely blown away by his beautiful bride. I don’t blame him! Carli looked amazing. Her wedding dress featured a fun bow on the back and she chose a sleek ponytail for her hair. She looked every part the classic bride and didn’t stop smiling ear to ear all day long. There’s nothing I love quite as much as seeing my couples genuinely happy and truly enjoying their wedding day. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed throughout an entire wedding as much as I did this day! From the second I got there through the “goodbyes” at the end of the night, there were constant jokes, fun, and laughter.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception with Elegant Coastal Details

Carli and Stephen held their ceremony in the boathouse chapel at Mallard Island Yacht Club. There was lots of greenery on the stone fireplace and ivory flowers, with blue accents. It was stunning – and the perfect colors for a Spring wedding. Carli’s girls wore dusty rose which brought another pop of color to the boathouse. My favorite part of the day was at the end of the ceremony when Steve picked up Carli and put her over his shoulder to exit the boathouse chapel. It was hilarious! (I even made an Instagram reel showing him carrying her and it has gotten a TON of engagement, people love it!) Carli and Stephen are just pure fun, as you can tell!
The coastal elegance continued into their wedding reception. From a tiered wedding cake with navy ribbons and shell accents to floating candles amongst their floral centerpieces, the ballroom looked gorgeous. The bride had a choreographed dance with her dad that had all her guests cracking up. Carli and Steve danced the entire night and in true “Carli” fashion, she even did the worm on the dancefloor in her gown! It was truly an epic evening celebrating this amazing couple!

Since the wedding, Carli and I have actually become friends. We have spent many night texting and hysterically laughing. (Even while on her honeymoon!) There’s no better reward than when clients become friends!
