As a professional photographer, I see a lot of different styles of weddings. From dreamy and elegant, to whimsical and fun, to rustic and relaxed, there is no shortage of themes and styles to work with. One of my favorite things is when people mix their own interests with a classic theme for a more personalized feel. There are so many fun ways to incorporate personalized touches, and it’s a great way to make your big day uniquely yours. 

Making Your Day Uniquely Yours

I recently shot a wedding at Maritime Parc in New Jersey. Floral Sentiments did a beautiful job on the flower arrangements, and coordinated them wonderfully with the bride’s stunning organza gown from Castle Couture. The bridesmaids wore pale pink Bill Levkoff dresses, and the groom and his groomsmen were decked out in a rich navy color from Tuxedo by Sarno. The color palette was perfect for Alex and Samantha’s spring wedding.

I LOVED everything about the decor, attire, and venue, but my favorite part was all the little details. This sweet couple loves Disney, so Alex had the most adorable Mickey Mouse cuff links, and the bridal cake was made up of three layers of colorful sprinkles, with Mickey and Minnie smooching on top. It’s the sweet little details that guests talk about for months, and the bride and groom cherish forever. Amidst all the beautiful decor, the stunning gowns, and the breathtaking views of Manhattan, the magical Disney details are what will remind Alex and Samantha of their dreamy wedding day for years to come. And those little details are what made their day personalized and unique to their own love story.
