Laura and Ben are married! They hosted the most gorgeous and classic springtime wedding at Indian Trail Club and it was such a joy to photograph! Laura and Ben are some of the sweetest people – Laura has to be, she’s a 4th grade teacher – and I loved getting to spend their wedding day with them. Every detail of their elevated celebration felt so perfectly chosen and it was truly a beautiful day!

Spring Indian Trail Club Wedding Day

The day began for Laura at the venue, where she got ready with her girls. One of my favorite details that morning was her fun “Mrs. Kohle” balloon! It was such a playful addition to the morning’s photos and she picked out the cutest white pajamas, too. Those sleeves were a dream! Her mother and sister helped Laura into wedding gown by the stunning stone fireplace at Indian Trail Club before she and Ben met along Franklin Lake for their first look.

First looks are always so emotional, but so worth it! Laura and Ben both cried and then were able to laugh and enjoy the moment together. It was super windy that day, so after a few portraits, we decided to take her veil out. She did the same during their ceremony, too! Laura and Ben’s outfits were perfect for their venue, too. Laura’s gown even had some floral detailing on the bodice, a lovely idea for a spring wedding. Ben looked handsome in his classic black suit and suspenders. I’m so glad that we did some of their portraits without his jacket. I think both looks were amazing on him!

Indian Trail Club Wedding Ceremony

Laura and Ben hosted their ceremony along Franklin Lake. They chose beautiful ivory and pastel pink flowers to decorate the arbor onsite and created matching accent pieces to line the aisle, too. I loved watching Laura’s students during the ceremony. Some were so into it and others weren’t too sure – but it was SO sweet that they were there. After the ceremony, the guests moved into the ballroom with Laura and Ben for their reception. The same ivory and pink color palette was used indoors, creating an elegant atmosphere for the evening. Laura and Ben brought some sweet details in – like custom cocktails inspired by them and their pup, Annie. I loved it! Before the reception really got going, Laura got to see some of her students. One little girl told her she looked so different – it was super cute! I love that she had her students there.

I ended the night with Laura and Ben on the dock – we slipped out of the reception for a few sunset photos and it was so worth it! Those end of night photos are always some of my favorites and it’s a great chance to give the newlyweds a little breather. Congratulations again, Laura and Ben!
