Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Kokot! Stephanie and Alex are married. Their June wedding at the Refinery at Perona Farms was absolutely stunning! Their entire day was so smooth and just felt incredibly elegant. From their first look to their amazing party, Stephanie and Alex celebrated the start of the next chapter of their lives together in style.

Wedding Day at the Refinery at Perona Farms

I LOVE working at the Refinery at Perona Farms. It’s such a gorgeous venue here in New Jersey and lends itself to chic wedding days. The space at the Refinery is beautiful, with both indoor and outdoor options available for your celebration. Stephanie and Alex got ready on site that morning before meeting under the weeping willow for their first look. It wound up being the perfect romantic spot for their first meeting of the day. Alex’s eyes just lit up when he saw his beautiful bride for the first time and their grins didn’t stop there. Stephanie was a dream! Her summer wedding gown featured beautiful floral lace overlays and she paired a beautiful short veil with her dress. As we finished their first look, we found a little field of yellow wildflowers that were perfect for their summer wedding portraits! So dreamy!!

New Jersey Wedding Ceremony and Reception

Stephanie and Alex were married in the outdoor courtyard at the Refinery. It’s such a beautiful spot for ceremonies, with a focal wall covered in green ivy and leaves under the string lights. Stephanie and Alex incorporated several Jewish wedding elements into their day, including the glass breaking and Hora at the reception. Their ceremony was so sweet and you could just see how excited they were to officially be husband and wife!

Afterwards, we finished up our portraits – including some with their pup, Bourbon. We re-enacted some of their favorite engagement portraits with him. He was ADORABLE!!! They featured him at their reception too with their signature drinks. Honestly, their reception was full of fun little touches like that. Some of my favorites were the You’ve Got Mail inspired seating chart and incredible food stations with brick oven pizza and gourmet grilled cheese, and even an audio guest book (such a fun trend!). Everything looked amazing covered in ivories and dusty pink and it set the tone for a truly beautiful evening. Other than the delicious food, I have to admit their naked wedding cake with a chocolate drizzle might have been the best part of the night!
