Alyssa and Jonathan left for their honeymoon just a few days after their gorgeous Mansion in the Mountains wedding day. When they were telling me about their honeymoon, I realized that I was going to be in Aruba at the EXACT same time! I was traveling down to capture another couple’s wedding. So, Alyssa and Jon decided quickly that they wanted to do a portrait session since we’d both be there! I was so excited! We weren’t initially sure where we wanted to do their session… but we knew one was going to happen! As they planned their wedding, we all began to research the perfect spot for their Aruba honeymoon portraits!

Honeymoon Portraits in Aruba

One of the biggest things we knew when we were deciding where to do Alyssa and John’s portraits was that she did NOT want to be near the famous Aruba flamingos. Turns out, Alyssa is terrified of birds! LOL We ended up finding a cool location on Instagram! On the way there, we found out that it’s actually one of the most famous resorts sitting on Eagle Beach in the Caribbean! How lucky are we!? The Bucati and Tara Beach Resort was perfect pick. The resort is so beautiful, and away from the birds… so it really met all of our requirements, ha!

Before our session, my husband and I met up with Alyssa and John for some drinks at the Bucati & Tara Beach Resort. It was fun having time to just sit down and chat before we started shooting, especially because I just adore these two. After our drinks were done, we just spent the evening exploring the resort. They had some beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea! I loved using one of their hammocks for some cute photos of Alyssa and Jon. We lucked out with an incredible sunset! Honestly, the entire night was lots of fun because they were able to just relax on their honeymoon. I’m so happy that Alyssa and John will have these portraits to remember such a wonderful trip together!
