Victoria and John are married!!! They planned a romantic and classic wedding day at Bonnet Island Estate, one of my favorite Long Beach Island wedding venues. Victoria and John’s wedding was stunning – but also SO much fun. LBI has always been a special place for this sweet couple – and somewhere that Victoria always hoped she’d get married, so this day was really full of meaning for them both. I’m so excited to share every detail with you today because it was really a beautiful celebration.

Bonnet Island Estate Wedding Attire Inspiration

The newlyweds shared some of their thoughts about their wedding below, but I wanted to take a minute to share some of my favorite moments from this special day, too! The first was that I was (and still am!) obsessed with Victoria’s incredible wedding gown! It had a really fun statement bow on the back and she looked amazing! The gown also had a bit of a corset top with some lace on the back, too. I definitely made a point to capture the back of her dress as much as I could.

She also had a cocktail dress that she changed into for her reception. I always love when my brides have two dresses – it’s really fun and a nice way to infuse more of their personality into the day. Victoria also had the best Chanel sunglasses and I had fun styling them with the rest of her bridal details! But, don’t think that John was left out! He also had a maroon suit jacket that he wore for the reception – and whats Groom’s fit would be complete without some red bottom Louboutins?! They were both looking fly and ready to party all night long!

Victoria and John’s wedding day was a blast. On top of all of the fun we had – and that they had planned for their guests – I got to hang out with their dog, Toby, during photos! He looked so cute in his own little tux! I can’t help it – I LOVE my couples and their pets!! The looks on Victoria and John’s faces during their photos with him are just pure joy!

Tell us about the Proposal!

LBI has always been a special place to me. In July of 2022 during my “family week” (all siblings and nieces are down for the weekend) he surprised me with a picnic on the beach and both families, friends traveled to surprise us for an incredible night / weekend!

Tell us about your photography experience with Susan!

In one word, Incredible. The photos are stunning and speak for themselves but the experience was perfect. She made us laugh, feel comfy in front of the camera, etc. the vibes were immaculate (even at 6am during our 20 degree engagement shoot in Central Park).

Why did you pick your venue?

Grew up spending summers in LBI, as a young girl when we passed Bonnet on the boat I’d always say I wanted to get married there! Easy pick (even after mallard was built).

Tell us about all the details of the wedding!

We went for a more classic elegant vibe. Lots of whites and greens with gold accents. The food and band were definitely stars of the day – the dance floor being packed was a goal that we’re happy was hit the whole night!
