Marissa and Bill are married!
I’ve gotten to know Marissa pretty well over the past 1.5+ years and I just adore her, and her mom Deb! We had so much fun at their Philly engagement session, and I knew the wedding would be epic!
This July, they hosted an incredible summer Bonnet Island Estate wedding on Long Beach Island. Their wedding day was seriously a dream – with the most incredible pastel blue and pops of pinks and coral colors, unique details, and lots of fun moments!

Coastal Inspired Wedding on LBI

When I walked into Marissa’s suite, I knew it was going to be a fun day. I was absolutely blown away by her details, first of all. She had the most beautiful handmade earrings that I wanted to make sure I featured heavily in their detail photos. They also had incredible handmade cookies featuring their wedding date and a “Z” for their last name. Marissa even had two different pairs of shoes!! One was a beautiful blue and the other had pearl detailing on it. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to the day. Seriously, everything was just incredible! Not to mention, the color scheme was to die for! They really kept a coastal vibe throughout their whole day – with lots of light blues, whites, and coral/pink to round it out.

To top it all off, the ladies didn’t just have beautiful details. They were truly having a blast celebrating the bride-to-be. Even the vendor team got into it. One of my favorite makeup artists (and dear friend) Christina, made a TikTok of Marissa getting ready that’s now gone viral with over a million views. I was so excited to be in it, too!

Bonnet Island Estate Wedding Day

After Marissa was done getting ready with her girls, she met with her Grandma for a first look. She also had a first look with her dad. Everyone cried!! Marissa and Bill had an emotional first look, too, at their ceremony site in the boathouse chapel at Bonnet Island Estate. It wound up being the perfect spot for them to have a private moment together (and it kept us out of the heat!).

After we captured portraits with their beautiful floral arbor, we braved the heat for more portraits around the property. It was such a hot day, but we carried lots of mini fans for everyone throughout the day. Even with all the AC breaks, we captured some beautiful portraits in front of the venue and around the waterfront. I always love capturing my couples along the water – especially on the shore! Marissa and Bill’s dog, Bear, even made it there for some portraits, too!

LBI Wedding Ceremony

We returned back to the chapel for their ceremony. Marissa and Bill had her aunt Barbara officiate the wedding, which made it all even more special. They exchanged their own vows, and Marissa’s even had some jokes, like “I love when you whisper my 3 favorite words to me… you look tan!” But the best part of their ceremony was when Marissa handed Bill her final rose, in reference to their favorite show: The Bachelor. It was so funny and definitely them! Of course I just HAD to make an Instagram reel of it!

Marissa and Bill enjoyed a super fun reception with their guests the rest of the night. There were even more beautiful details throughout the space. One of my favorites was the massive seating chart their families BUILT for them. I loved the color and the unique favors they had, too. However, the best part of their reception had to be when their guests performed a flash mob for the bride and groom, it was just so cool and the couple was so surprised!

Congratulations again, Marissa and Bill! I’m so happy for you both and I hope you had the wedding you’ve always dreamed of!
