I absolutely adore Allyson and Dylan! We met up at the beach in Lavallette NJ for their engagement session this year. I have to admit, it felt a little bit like I was in a time warp because I’ve known Allyson’s mom since we were kids. Allyson looks JUST like her mama did at that age – and I had to remind myself that I was with Allyson and not her mom! Having this family connection definitely made their session extra special.

Engagement Session on the Beach in Lavallette, NJ

Allyson and Dylan were absolute naturals in front of the camera! They’re incredible together – and look like models, am I right?! We met up on the oceanside of Lavalette to start their session. Allyson wore a super cute summer dress in white and Dylan chose a button up with white pants, which was the perfect compliment for Allyson. They both looked super comfy and like they were just having a date night on the beach. As the sun set, we moved to the bay side for golden hour portraits. Allyson and Dylan changed outfits – and I was SO in love with Allyson’s second dress. It had the most beautiful lace detailing, perfect for the beach!

During our session, Allyson and Dylan chatted with me about their thoughts on the wedding. Allyson and Dylan are tossing around the idea of a destination wedding, which I was so excited to hear, as we all know I just LOVE shooting destination weddings! Fingers crossed!! Allyson is also a twin, and her sister Sydney is also engaged! It’s going to be an exciting couple of years for this family! I feel lucky to be able to watch it unfold as their friend and photographer.
