Engagement Session on a Sailboat in Toms River NJ

I’m so excited to finally be sharing Jamie and Nick’s romantic engagement session with you! We had to wait until pretty late in the season to do their photos since Nick’s been busy being a pitcher for the LA Angels (!!!!). But, we finally got the chance to capture their incredible engagement session on a sailboat, thanks to Captain Eric from Riverside Yachting. This evening on the Toms River was a dream. I’m so happy I get to work with couples like Jamie and Nick! They were open to anything and we created something truly epic together!

Engagement Session on a Sailboat

Jamie and Nick brought their adorable dog, Griffey, to kick off our session right on the docks. They brought the most beautiful kerchief for Griffey to wear and he was adorable – and so cooperative! Once Jamie and Nick were ready, we boarded the sailboat and enjoyed some time on the river. They brought an adorable little bundt cake and some champagne to enjoy on the trip, which I thought was just perfect! I’m a huge fan of giving my couples something to do during their sessions with me. It makes everyone feel a bit more relaxed and like it’s just a date night… that I’m tagging along on, ha! I also have to give a shout out to Jamie’s amazing style! She had the cutest and most laid back and comfy boating attire complete with her signature Prada sunglasses. It really felt like we were just out sailing for a fun afternoon.

My husband met us out on the water where I *very carefully* switched boats mid-session on the river to get some wide shots. I also had my drone up (and landed it on the boat!!!) and got some epic aerial shots as well. This session was truly so dreamy!! I hope Jamie and Nick will look back on it as fondly as I know I will!
