Ariana and Nick are getting married! I can’t wait for their spring wedding next May. We had a blast capturing their gorgeous engagement session on Long Beach Island this year and I’m so excited to share them with you now! I personally always love LBI sessions because the beach is beautiful year round and the vibes are hard to beat. Ariana and Nick made the scenery even more enjoyable because they’re simply perfect for each other!
The Proposal
Under the rouse of planning a PBA event, Nick got Ariana to head to Rockland County to check out one of the spaces they were considering for the event. He told her that they’d be meeting another cop there to check it out, so Ariana wasn’t too surprised when Nick made a call on their drive to check in. Ariana told me that she thought a proposal might be happening but second guessed herself with that phone call! Anyway, while they were “waiting” for this co-worker to arrive, they walked along the waterfront. In the gazebo near the water, Nick got down on one knee. A photographer was nearby to capture it all and he even planned a dinner with their families and a surprise party after the fact with their closest friends. What a special celebration!
Long Beach Island Engagement Session
Ariana and Nick love finding new restaurants to enjoy – especially when oysters are involved. So, we knew that for their engagement photos, we’d want to include one of their favorite hobbies! We started our session at Polly’s Dock and Clamhouse in LBI so that they could enjoy a tray of oysters. Afterwards, we used the docks for more portraits of them laughing and having a great time. The rest of the session took place out on the beach! I even got to use my drone for some truly amazing shots of them in the sand and water. It was perfect!
Congratulations, Ariana and Nick! I’m so happy for you both and can’t wait for your spring wedding!
