Bear Brook Valley Wedding :: New Jersey Wedding Photographer
Styles and trends are always evolving and sometimes it’s hard to keep up. Weddings today are much different than weddings twenty or thirty years ago. Even if you aren’t savvy in design, decor, and style, you can still pull off a totally stylish and modern wedding. Whether you utilize a wedding planner or spend months scouring Pinterest, your wedding can be right up there with the top trending styles.
Kelly and Ryan’s Bear Brook Valley Wedding
Kelly and Ryan got married earlier this year at Bear Brook Valley in Fredon, New Jersey. Their wedding was simple, classic, and chic. I loved the rustic chairs, crates, and signs throughout the ceremony and reception space. Joanne Johnson Morgan made the most beautiful floral arrangements and Lettering by Lyss came through with stunning calligraphy and signs. Kelly’s bridesmaids rocked one of my favorite trends: monochromatic bridesmaid dresses. If you aren’t familiar with this trend, it’s where each person wears a different shade of the same color. Kelly took it a step further with different textures. Lace, sparkles, and sequins were just a few of the styles her bridesmaids wore. This trend can be a little harder to pull off, but it looks so beautiful in photos when done correctly.
The key is to think coordinating, not matching. It really brings a whole new dimension to photos when colors and patterns break up the monotony of the same hue. It’s also a great way to let your bridesmaids weigh in on what they feel suits them, and you can even let each friend choose her own dress in the color scheme. You want it to look effortless, even though it took quite a bit of effort (I know, it’s sort of an oxymoron, right?!)!
Check out Kelly and Ryan’s flawless wedding style to see what I mean. Isn’t it dreamy?! What do you think about the monochromatic trend?
