Meaghan chose coral, lilac, and a hint of gold as her color palette for the wedding, and the end result was so pretty! The bridal details are flowed together seamlessly..from her gorgeous gold Manolos to the giant peach peony in her bouquet and the hanging lilac ribbon..it just worked. I loved the Magnolia leaf with their names written in calligraphy, and I though it made for a cute ring shot! (These leaves were actually the place cards for their guests, as you will see later in this post)
When I asked Meaghan to tell me about her gown before the wedding, she said “I always have such a hard time describing my gown! If I had to choose, I’d say understated sexy. The long sleeves and neckline are classic and the sheer lace all around the back and sides adds that hint of sexy. Funny story, my friend actually sent me the dress on Pinterest right after I got engaged because she knew I always talked about wanting a long sleeve dress. Well, the day of my dress appointment comes and I’m browsing the racks only to find THAT DRESS. That alone was enough to convince it was the one. But once I put it on it was everything I could’ve ever imagined and more!”

I just love groom’s detail shots! I think it’s because so much emphasis is always on the bride and the bridal details, and too often the groom is overlooked. After all, it’s his wedding too! Brian had this cool floral pocket square and peach argyle socks. Funny story: 2 days before their wedding, Brian realized his suit pants didn’t have belt loops! Megan started scrambling to find suspenders for him and all his groomsmen to match their color scheme…not just any suspenders, but peach ones! Not only did she find them but they matched her bouquet perfectly!
This gorgeous weeping willow was the perfect backdrop for the couple’s first look. As soon as I saw it, I knew we needed to have that moment right there. In fact, since the sun was out and it was very bright that day, we did most of their pictures in the same shaded spot, and I’m so glad we did! The light looked amazing peeking through the branches, and we got the best romantic bride and groom portraits!

I still can not get over Meaghan’s bridal gown! That lace! Those sleeves! The cut out sides! By far one of the prettiest dresses I’ve seen, and she totally rocked it. Brian was just looking at her in awe! But he was also such a ham and was giving me all his best model poses and GQ looks…as far as he was concerned, this was his photo session! LOL His silly personality had us cracking up for most of the day, and he was really excited about the belly button-to-belly button poses! hahaha!

Meaghan’s dad, Mike, was seriously so cute when he saw his little girl in her wedding gown for the first time. He just buried his head in her shoulder and cried. I have to admit, this was the first time I teared up during their day, but it wouldn’t be the last.

They had a beautiful lakeside ceremony under this super pretty floral arbor. The chairs were decorated with various peonies, roses, olive branch and eucalyptus. Meaghan surprised her dad and had the instrumental version of “Beauty and the Beast” playing when he walked her down the aisle. They used to sit down together and watch it over and over again when she was a little girl!
The tented reception room looked soooo pretty! Brian’s favorite author is Nicholas Sparks (people get a good laugh when they tell them), so they decided to name all of the tables after his books. My favorite one was “The Notebook”
Along with the soft floral centerpieces in gold vases, each table had bottles of wine and waxflower tucked into the lilac napkins.They had a naked cake with purple icing dripping down and a gold cake topper. It had two flavors…yellow cake for the base and cannoli cream and strawberry with vanilla custard fillings 
The couple danced to Carrie Underwood, as I’m told Brian has a slight obsession with her, and was teased several times about this throughout the day!

So I said earlier that I cried twice during this wedding. This was probably the sweetest moment I’ve EVER witnessed after shooting weddings for over a decade. Brian is in the Marines and his mom never got to go to the Marine Corps Ball. While Meaghan was dancing with her dad, Brian secretly snuck out of the reception and changed into his Marine Dress Blues. All of a sudden you heard Brian’s voice over the speakers talking to his mom and saying “Mom, I know you never got the chance to go to the Marines Corps Ball, so I wanted to give you your wish on my wedding day”. Then, he came out of the crowd in his uniform and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. His sweet mama was so shocked and just stood there crying. Their dance was one of my favorite parts of the day, and I know Brian’s mom will never forget that moment!
After the toasts we headed outside to get some more pictures of the couple, this time with Brian’s uniform on. Meaghan had never seen him in his uniform so this was a special treat for her too! He lifted his bride, dipped her, and twirled her around like a prefect gentleman. 
The couple had a cigar bar set up outside, along with a handmade personalized cornhole board. The guests sat out on the white patio furniture under the string lights and mingled the night away

The newlyweds went to Hawaii on their honeymoon! #Gavendinos
