I loved this gorgeous beach session with Cassandra and Greg on the Manasquan Inlet/Point Pleasant Beach. Their cute dog, Cookie, was the sweetest pup ever and completely stole the show!

 
How did you meet: 
Definitely NOT on Match.com. We met on the banks of the Amazon River somewhere deep into the rain forest of Peru.  We were both volunteering for Doctors Without Borders and helping treat people afflicted with Malaria when we found ourselves working side-by-side in a medical treatment tent one day…and well, the rest is history.
Did I mention that we specifically did NOT meet on Match?  (We totally met on Match)  The proposal: 
I had planned an engagement party for July 21st, which was meant to be a surprise to Cassandra, and was going to propose to her that morning, then head over to the party which was being held at the restaurant where we had our first date.  Come July 4th, I had been sitting on the ring for a month already and am terrible at keeping secrets. I decided when I woke up that morning, “today is the day.” – and then I almost had a panic attack, but I digress.  I asked Cassandra to take our dog Cookie for a walk with me – which was out of the ordinary, but she didn’t pick up on anything.  I proposed on a bench that sits on the Hudson River which we can see from the dinner table in our apartment – so for the rest of our time living here, every time we look out our window, it’s a reminder of our love and commitment to one another.  

What’s your favorite thing about each other?
What I love most about Cassandra –  She is genuinely kind, incredibly patient and understanding. She thinks of me and others, and puts us before herself always.  I’m a totally different person since meeting her. There is no more appropriate cliche than, “she makes me a better man.”  Because of her, I feel like so much is possible in our lives. If I have to narrow it down to one thing, it would be this: “She’s the best.”
