How did you meet:
BUMBLE! Yes, really. We both felt that ‘this is different’ vibe on our first few dates. To this day Ryan jokes that he knew I was special on Date #3 when I decided to interrupt his yawn (rude) by ‘sticking’ my finger in his mouth. (I’m a closer.)

The proposal:
I was ambushed and truly in utter shock. I took my future SIL Alissa out for her birthday in Long Branch. We got lavish pedicures and planned to go to lunch after. As we walked down the boardwalk toward the restaurants, I was going on-and-on about where the stores and restaurants were located. Alissa was quiet (unlike her) so I kept on talking until she interrupted me and pointed – “Is that Ryan?!”
What? Where? Not here – this was girls day. But there he was, smiling on the boardwalk. And here I was, giving him a dirty look because, girls day…
I quickly noticed the flowers in one hand and a black box in the other. I was in such shock that I couldn’t move. Ryan had to walk to me. After Ryan proposed, my future BIL popped up. They all told me we were going to celebrate (just the 4 of us) with lunch. I was still in shock as we walked into the restaurant and, another surprise.
Ryan had my parents and all of my closest friends waiting at the bar to celebrate with us! I almost started crying. It was the sweetest way to close out a very special day.

 

What’s your favorite thing about each other?
Jessica: I can only pick one thing?! I love Ryan’s sense of humor and sarcastic ways. It’s what immediately drew me to him in the first place (aside from that charming smile). He’s completely optimistic, compassionate, calming and so much fun. He brings out the best in me. 
Ryan: Her sense of humor and that she can make fun of herself (and me).  I love that she’s independent with her own interests and great group of friends.  She is extremely loyal to those she truly cares about, and would do anything for them.
