Backyard Wedding :: New Jersey Wedding Photographer

We met working at a restaurant. We were friends for three years. Then Eddie confessed his love on New Year’s Eve saying he couldn’t do another year as a friend. I was really confused for a month, but eventually realized that it was worth taking the plunge! Thank goodness.

Eddie told me he bought a ring, which was a very bad decision because then I could not think of anything else for over a month. Eventually, over burnt chicken, while cooking dinner, I asked “c’mon when is it going to happen? I’m dying over here.” Eddie then went into his office, grabbed the ring and got down on one knee. It wasn’t his plan, but hey, it worked!

After so many reschedules we just wanted to keep it simple. A backyard wedding is the groundedness we needed in a time of uncertainty.

We didn’t realize how hard it would be to plan a backyard wedding. You need to control so many more details because it is at your own home. After a crazy year of Covid and other sad stuff, we just wanted to celebrate and have fun. So we changed up the vibe- we did everything bright and fun!

We came in on a boat. The best part of the day was when we were out on the boat just the three of us (Eddie’s dad was driving) and we were just so excited for all the fun we would have.

Puerto Rico St Regis! It was magical!
