“Our story starts in the first grade…we’ve known each other since we were 6. We grew up together, always traveling in the same circle of friends but never had any romantic feelings..more like brother and sister…we often joked about that very idea and laughed at others when they would say “you watch, you two will get married one day” and who would have known they were right! Justin popped the question May 23rd of last year at my grandparents shore house, a place very near and dear to my heart. The sky was just past dusk and we had a fire going and were about to make smores…so I thought…he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him with a few friends and family present. I said yes! Well actually I said “Are you serious!?” Then said yes! The part of the wedding day we are most looking forward to is standing up in front of our friends and family who have known us for so long and FINALLY vowing our love and friendship for one another, and making it “official” which has been a long time in the making. We are the lucky ones who get to say they married their best friend.”
Daria and Justin had such a beautiful wedding, I am obsessed with the pictures from their day! Daria looked GORGEOUS as ever and Justin was soooo handsome! Literally the perfect couple! The ceremony and reception were both held at the one and only Bonnet Estate..one of my favorite venues in NJ. I just love everything about it, from the bridal suite to the boathouse chapel..it is just perfect and there are endless picturesque spots throughout the grounds. Daria and Justin had a first look in the English Rose Garden. Justin’s reaction was priceless and he cheered and said “Yes! She wore her hair down!” They laughed and laughed throughout the entire day, and then just when I could get them to be serious again, they would burst out laughing..they are truly so happy together, its refreshing. I absolutely LOVE the images we captured of the bride and groom, they seriously looked like models!
Daria’s cousins sang as she walked down the aisle arm in arm with her mom and dad which was super sweet. They exchanged rings and had a sand ceremony before exiting for the big grand picture of all their guests outside the chapel. Friends and family mingled at the cocktail hour, which was on the waterfront patio with string lights, before heading into the nautical themed reception. The newlyweds shared their first dance in the massive 30 foot ceiling ballroom, followed by the parent dances and toasts. The two maids of honor quoted lyrics from different country songs that best represented the couple. After tons of dancing, they cut their wedding cake, and Daria surprised Justin with a Superman grooms cake!
What an awesome day! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Anastasio!
