Waterloo Village Wedding :: Stanhope NJ :: Joanna + Eric

Waterloo Village Wedding :: New Jersey Wedding Photographer

When you begin wedding planning, you’ll quickly learn there are a LOT of options. Think of going to the store for ketchup, and seeing eight shelves full of different brands, options. Glass bottles, plastic bottles, twist cap, flip top, upright or upside down, spicy or classic? It can be pretty overwhelming walking those aisles, and even more so when you’re planning to walk down THE aisle. So where do you even start?

A Classic Approach

Most people don’t fit neatly into a box of what they like, but it can often be a starting point. One thing that may help you begin the process down the rabbit hole of planning is deciding whether you are more of a traditional bride or a modern bride. You may be a mix of the two split right down the middle, even. But often times you can get some great ideas for venue, attire, and theme simply by picking which side you tend to lean towards.

I recently photographed Joanna and Eric’s gorgeous wedding at Waterloo Village in Stanhope, New Jersey. They stuck with a mostly traditional theme, and it was incredibly timeless and classic. Joanna stunned in a long sleeve lace Rosa Clara wedding gown. Caitlin Meola did her hair in soft curls that framed her beautiful, natural and fresh makeup by Blushed Beauty. The venue was rustic and chic and the perfect backdrop for a traditional outdoor ceremony. The cake, made by JAM Catering, was simple and sweet, and perfect for the classic theme.

I just adore the timeless look of traditional weddings, and it was so fitting for this sweet couple. There are so many options when you begin planning for your big day, but no matter which route you choose, it will all come together beautifully in the end. So which style is more you? Modern, traditional, or somewhere in between?
