Nicole and Jason live in Manhattan Beach, California but they decided on a destination wedding at the Jersey shore! The first half of the day it was POURING out, but we made the best of it and kept running out for pictures whenever there was a break in the rain! I still can’t believe the amount of outdoor photos we were able to get in spite of the weather that day! Nicole, Jason, and their entire bridal party were such troopers…they just kept pushing though! This wedding was just stunning from start to finish! Wait until you hear all about their amazing honeymoon (keep reading)! Enjoy!
How did you meet?
My friend Krissy and Jason’s friend John were dating (now married) and they set us up by exchanging our phone numbers. Jason texted me and asked me to get some frozen yogurt. We both didn’t want the night to end, our yogurt date turned into a long walk around a shopping village in Redondo Beach, CA. Fun fact: Jason didn’t kiss me until the third date. The Proposal!
While on a family trip in LaJolla, CA, Jason asked me to get a picture with him under Scripps Pier on the beach. I actually wasn’t feeling up to it and gave him a hard time about it!! Meanwhile he had his family waiting back at the hotel to throw us a party. When we got to the pier Jason asked a woman to take our picture (he hired a photographer) and then he got down on one knee. I was really surprised and started crying and hugging him and I didn’t even look at the ring at first!! When we walked back to the hotel my family from Philadelphia, my mom, Ron, and Angela were waiting at the hotel too!! It was all orchestrated by Jason. He did a really great job putting it all together. And my ring is just incredible!! He worked with a jeweler in Los Angeles to have it specially made.
Where are you going on your honeymoon?
We just finished our first round of honeymoon in Hong Kong, the Maldives, and Abu Dhabi and Dubai. In Hong Kong we shopped at the markets, visited Hong Kong Disneyland, and ate a ton of dim sum. We stayed in an over water villa in the number one hotel resort in the Maldives, Gili Lankafushi. We saw the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and went to the top of the tallest building in the world in Dubai, the Burj Khalifa. We took a quick break at home in Los Angeles. Next up we are headed to Spain, France, and London for two weeks.
