How did you meet?

Charlie and I have known each other almost our whole lives! We lived across the street from each other growing up and my sister and I would always play with him and his brothers. My family decided to move, not too far, but we no longer had those play dates. Fast forward a decade later, we would see each other at a mutual friends 4th of July party. I went up to him to see if he remembered me and thankfully he did! Next year, the same 4th of July party we talked all night and hit it off! After texting all the time, he finally asked me on a date and everything fell into place!

The Proposal!
Charlie and I had a weekend planned at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch one weekend in May. Every time we go down that way we always stop off at Sandy Hook to check out the view. We stopped off and just walked the beach and as I was looking at the skyline, he was slightly behind me and said “Kate” and I turned around and he was on one knee. I was not expecting it! It was so intimate just the two of us. We enjoyed celebrating with champagne in the hotel room and the following morning he organized a brunch at my parent’s house with all of our family and friends. It was truly perfect!

Why did you pick your venue?
We picked out venue because we are both beach lovers. Windows on the water and their entire staff are nothing but perfect. I have worked at the beach club there for almost 10 years and the venue and staff have a piece of my heart! They helped me throughout the entire wedding process and made everything flawless. I really thought about what my guests would enjoy and I knew the view was something I wanted everyone to take in. The food prepared but the chef and staff was unique and exceptional and I am so glad my guests got to share in that experience!

Tell us about all the details of the wedding!
We always wanted a beachy and chic wedding. The morning of the wedding was sunny with clear skies and that’s when I knew it was going to be a great day! Walking up the stairs and seeing everything we had talked about and visioned was right in front of our eyes. We could smell all the eucalyptus that was on display around our welcome sight and by our place cards. Once the night finally began, it was filled with dancing and smiles. Windows on the Water surprised us by making the most extravagant romantic good-bye station! They had chicken and waffles, cubanos, pork roll egg and cheeses, gourmet doughnuts, it was amazing!! Favorite moment of the day?
I think our favorite moment of the day had to be after the ceremony where we had the bridal suite to ourselves with champagne and food from cocktail hour. We really got to soak everything in and were humbled by everyone that was there to witness our love for each other. Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went on our honeymoon to Grenada! It was the most romantic place to have our honeymoon. We truly got to relax after planning a wedding for 2 years!
